This assessment package is designed to identify career interests and related college majors and the various aspects of the college experience that contribute to a good college fit. The complete Career and College Fit assessment process typically involves four – five working sessions working sessions one-on-one with the student. One session focuses on the Do What You Are assessment, which is based on the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator; one – two sessions are devoted to the Lattitudes aptitude assessment; and one session addresses the Self-Survey I and II, which assesses personal college fit factors and values. A final session is provided to meet with the student and parents to summarize the results.
This assessment identifies whether your child performs better on the SAT or the ACT. For all colleges that require admission test scores, both the SAT and the ACT are accepted. Knowing which test presents your child better can save time, expense and energy as they move toward college applications. It is far more important for your child’s college application that they submit scores from the assessment on which they perform better. The SAT/ACT Diagnostic Assessment is administered at this office and can be completed in approximately three and one-half hours and consists of both a mini-SAT and an ACT. Results are usually available within 48 – 72 hours. Results of the nine-page report are discussed in a one hour follow up session.
